North Luangwa, Mana Pools and Chitake Concession

Nikki, Trish - just to say many thanks for another great trip. Both Kutandala and Mana were fantastic - climb up the Mwaleshi in NL was unforgettable (not least thanks to a very flaky Zambian scout who legged it anytime something larger than a duiker appeared)
Rod and Guz were the usual perfect hosts.

James Varden is the best guide I've come across - he could spot a flea at 500 yards. Chitake was a sensation - loads of lion and elephant encounters and a great day up on the escarpment. Walk across the valley floor had everything and was topped off by wild dog hunting on the Zambezi as we arrived. Tell James to hang on in there. Can't wait til the next trip!

Once again thanks for a top job.

Zambia - two safaris join the family

Dear Liz,
Just a quick note to you thank you very much for the wonderful holiday you organised for myself and my family.

We had a marvellous time and I ended up doing some activities that I wouldn't normally attempt- eg.microlighting!!! It was scary for me but worth it for the spectacular sights.

Our sons also enjoyed themselves and were over joyed to see our two daughters who were part of the large group in the campsite.

They had a very successful mission in areas like Mongu where they went into the schools and tried to help the communities.

God Bless you and keep your family safe,
Bronwen M

Namibia and Mozambique

Jackie,
Thanks for all your help in sorting out our trip to Namibia/Mozambique.

We had a fantastic trip, and all the organisation went well (once we had sorted out our air transfer to skeleton - apparently it would have taken up to a week to drive! Thanks)

Many thanks

Victoria Falls package tour

We recently joined the 3 nights package to Zambezi Waterfront. We've enjoyed the trip very much. Accommodation is comfortable and the staff are friendly.

There's a wide selection of activities and are handled in a professional manner. We would certainly recommend it to our friends.

In terms of food, the chef was very nice to add our choice of food on the daily menu the following day. But the quality of meat need improvement. Best regards.

Apres Africa – South Africa, Botswana, Zambia

Nikki,
We had the greatest time in Africa. It's so amazing and so special, words can't convey the emotions and experiences one has. We saw everything and we met fantastic people. The lodges are great. All of it exceeded our wildest hopes. Africa is our beginnings, and it touches us primally. It's problems are huge, too, and we hope we can find ways to be helpful, in addition to supporting eco-tourism.

Here's some specific comments, in case you want the feedback.

  • Singita - superior overall. Saw the best wildlife, had the best accommodations - utter perfection. I like the rooms at Boulders rather than Ebony, but I liked the Lodge at Ebony over Boulder's, and since it was winter I think we stayed in the best place. The guide, Shawn and tracker, Lazarus, were unbelieveable.
  • Londolozi - Bateleur Camp was ok but seemed a bit run down to me. They most kindly offered us a suite in Tree Camp which was glorious! Solomon is a great guide.
  • Earth Lodge - One must go there if one has extra time because the architecture is so stunning. The game viewing is more limited but our guide and tracker, Doriano and Kruger were great. We had the extra time so we are glad we went.
  • Mala Mala - the definitive Game Camp. Everything there worked out beautifully. We would recommend it to all. Great game viewing (Gilles and John were excellent). Fun atmosphere. Wish they allowed female guides to work there.
  • Jao Camp - what can we say - it may be the very best room we had in the whole journey - the look of Jao is fantastic. And there it is right on the river and eles and lions walk by the suite veranda in the waters just in front. Astonishing. The people there are great and the Boma experience there was the best one of them all.
  • Jack's Camp - we could not have ended the safari better than at Jack's. It is unique and through Ralph, Charlie and Garrick we learned a lot! a lot! Taking the ATVs out into the pans, and all the wondrous things and surprises they have there are really too amazing. Imagine having a meerkat lick your fingers! We think the food here was the best of all lodges and hotels on the entire trip.
  • Vic Falls and The Royal Livingstone were beautiful. A great ending overall. We were very surprised to be going into Zimbabwe in order to return to Jo'Burg but the guide handled everything very efficiently for us.
  • In fact, Wilderness Safaris was absolutely on top of every detail.
  • We must mention the Cape Grace. We give it 100% rating too. Their Hospitality is the best of any city hotel we have ever experienced. They are top-notch. A pretty hard act to follow at the very nice Grace in Jo'Burg.

Thank you so very much for your guidance and assistance, tolerance of our travel changes, and answering all our questions. We had a brilliant trip and when people asked us how did we plan our trip we told them about Zambezi Travel and Nikki Hinde.

Sincerely,

Victoria Falls Adventure

Dear Delene,
Just a quick note of thanks for your help in organising our activities while staying at Victoria Falls from 20th to 23rd June.

The helicopter ride over the Falls was spectacular and the Jetboat up the rapids good fun. I know you only booked a bungee jump for me but when we got to the bridge Christine decided to do it as well.

We both enjoyed (there are lots more words I should probably use like awesome) the jump and even bought the video. Certainly an experience we will not forget.

It as amazing the strange looks and comments we get when people find out what we did, something to do with us being in our 50's I think.

Thanks again for your help,
David & Christine W

Zambia and Botswana Safari

Dear Jackie,
Thank you so much for arranging such a lovely trip for me.

Nyala lodge was great and I really enjoyed the Falls with beatiful rainbows in the spray.
Chobe Game Lodge was great too, and I saw some fantastic wild life- a beautiful boat trip too. Everyone was very friendly and I glad I stayed to see more of Zambia and Botswana.

The Game Lodge was very well run. So thank you for all the trouble you took on my behalf. best wishes

Selinda concession, Botswana

Hello Liz,
We had a marvelous time.

Selinda turned out to be just what we wanted: a small intimate camp, with opportunities for walking in the bush as well as game drives in jeeps. We came back with literally hundreds of photos, and lots of video tape, of all the usual animals.

Thanks for arranging all this. Linyanti did a fine job, making all the connections on time. A very smooth operation!

Cheers,

Victoria Falls with SafPar

Hi Liz,
We have had a great time in Zimbabwe and arrived back in the UK late on Friday evening.
Thank you so much for organising our trip to Vic Falls. It was great to see it all again after 3 years and Ben thought it was fantastic.

There was an incredible amount of water going over and we got thoroughly drenched! But at least it was warm. We have returned to rainy and windy conditions on this side of the world!

Our day in Zambia with SafPar doing the 3 in 1 was excellent. We were the only people so had our own private guide for canoeing, our own game drive and our very own booze cruise on the Zambezi.

So once again, thanks for your help. Have a good trip to South Africa.
Kind regards

Victoria Falls - Zambian shoreline

Dear Jackie,
Just to let you know, we are back from our wonderful trip to South Africa and Zambia. All went like clockwork. Thank you so much for working with me and making this happen. I can't begin to tell you what a great time we had in Zambia.

I was shocked at first by the contrast in accomodation between the Zambezi Sun and the Waterfront. In the end we made the right choice although at first I was not so sure.

The staff at the Waterfront were so friendly and helpful we would not have wanted to be anywhere else.

I don't know when the next time will be for me but I have friends planning on going to South Africa and I will recommend your services.

Regards,

Hello Jackie;
The trip to Zim/Zambia was great. We really enjoyed it - all the activities (canoe, helicopter, cruise) were great.

We had an excellent time and if anyone we know plans to visit Vic Falls, we'll make sure to give them your name, thanks again,

Victoria Falls trip

Liz,
Thanks for all your work in arranging this for us. It was excellent, the falls are magnificent. Everything went according to plan. Did the sunset trip, helicopter trip and the alligator farm. The hotel was great and the rooms ideal.

South Africa and Botswana

Liz, we are just returned and I wanted to thank you sincerely once again for all your care and attention. Our trip was absolutely marvelous. I cannot tell you how much we loved it all from the wonderful hotel in J'burg to the incredible experiences at Makalolo Plains.

You are good my friend. I look forward to doing business with you again sometime. Let me know if I can do anything for you.

Zambia

Hi Liz,
Thank you for your last note, Sam & I have had a wonderful time in Zambia and wished we had stayed longer. There were a couple of little hiccups on the way from the airport (but, I understand African time is a little different).

We will return to Zambia some day and will be sure to contact you when we do.
We have taken alot of great memories from the trip and that is (at least in part) due to your help.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all you have done, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending your service to friends and relatives.

Many thanks and kind regards

Safari in Namibia

Nikki, we are now back in UK. All arrangements were as the original itinerary, so the change of time e-mail ( which I have only just read ) did not apply !

All your arrangements were FAB. so we had a great time. Thanks for a trouble free tour and do please keep in touch as we will want to visit Etosha before too long.

Again - THANKS

Liz
We have had an excellent 3.5 wks in South Africa. It all went really well and we had a great time.
In particular the part you organised worked without any problems. Your suppliers were always on time and generally early. So far as your itinerary is concerned it described what we wanted to do and it delivered. Well done !!

We liked the Ilala at Vic Falls and would recommend it, although we would have to say that we wont we recommending Vic Falls as a place to visit under the current regime.

The Falls themselves were wonderful and our walk and in particular the helicopter trip were incredible.

Shame about the country.

Now Botswana is the very opposite. The people are lovely and you feel at home immediately. Your choice of the Chobe Safari Lodge was excellent.

Our game drives there were amazing, not because of variety (which rated medium) but more for specific moments such as the 200+ elephants coming down to the river all around our truck (Yes I was nervous).

Then on 2 different water drives we were almost in the middle of elephants crossing the river. Both spectacular moments. Of course loads of other animals, a few lions, giraffe, buffalo, and lots of hippos and crocs.

So overall we would be happy to recommend your company to others. We had quotes from 3 other prior to making our decision. With hindsight I am sure we made the best choice.

Many thanks.
Best Regards
