| A male lion (Panthera leo) in Mana Pools. Lions are not generally considered a common sighting in Mana, Matusadona on the Lake Kariba shoreline of the Zambezi has since 1998 been considered the best location in Southern Africa to find these majestic cats. | |||
| A prowling lioness in Mana Pools. Pride females are generally the more active hunters and are usually seen in attendance when large herds of buffalo come down to drink in the Zambezi River and the "pools" after which Mana is named. | |||
