 Canoe Safaris are amongst the most popular safari options in Southern Africa. 
  • They are conducted in various forms on the Tugela in South Africa, Kunene in Namibia and the upper and lower Zambezi Rivers in Zimbabwe and Zambia. 
  • Mekoro Trails in Botswana's Okavango Delta are generally included as activities at some of the camps in the permanently and seasonally flooded zone of this massive waterway (these aren't canoe safaris by any stretch of the imagination). 
  • The upper Zambezi canoe trails are best tackled as short add-ons during a visit to Victoria Falls.

[There is one "wet season" canoe safari on the Luangwa River which is kept pretty secret - speak to us.]

  • We offer a range from "full participation camping" trails to deluxe backed up safaris covering the entire stretch from Kariba Gorge down to Kanyemba on the Mozambican border. 
  • These safaris operate on both the Zambian and Zimbabwean banks of the Zambezi River. 
  • They vary in duration from three day trails to a ten day expedition traversing the full lower Zambezi canoeing stretch. 
  • These safaris are best experienced in combination with a walking safari in Mana Pools or Matusadona in Zimbabwe.
